Proto-Poetic-Type: The Fittest Paradigms

What are the appropriate paradigms for modeling one’s life in an experience containing no definitive or verifiable purpose?

This is a poetic essay.

1. Origin

As time1 moves forward quantum-level phenomena become more ordered2, transferring disorder3 to the realities realized from the resulting sub-atomic meta-structures.

This shift of entropy from quantum level events to macroscopically observable systems promotes diverse physical possibilities, mutations, and evolutions – Chaotic behavior.

In the specific case of humanity on earth5, it would appear this eventuated in the production of natural machines6 that provided the scaffolding for life as we know it. The inheritors of a great legacy: creating Something from Nothing; Deriving Individuality from a Universal Source.

I am the part of the universe that feels like me.

We are used to framing things as constructed (and it is certainly useful to do so). But it is the deconstruction – the come down – the grounding, that may be a more meaningful way to consider Purpose. Each individual being a unique information sequence that in summation makes an all-knowledgeable 7 whole.

Complex physical structures arise.

Complex thoughts descend.

Form and Mind rise and fall.

2. Lost Meaning (Conscious Stream)

We view our lives too clinically, and consequentially divorced from experience; Sensing life as pathology.

The inevitable consequence of conceptualizing one’s environment as an itemization of inanimate objects, although in many senses true, leads to deficient self-perception.

Self-annihilating thoughts begin to nucleate subconsciously:

  • What is the critical threshold of lifeless things required to produce life?
  • What is the critical threshold of non-thinking things required for intelligence to emerge?
  • If I am made of countless conceptually worthless items, do I have any worth?

This careless understanding of self – as a composite of lifeless objects – unsurprisingly leads to derealization.

The illusions which were once harmless have hijacked your physical sensory apparatus.

But this is not a dream, you are real, you know it, but you don’t feel it.

Your discerning senses, still largely intact, will alert you that something is off.

Is your intuition to be trusted?

Can you rely on your hard senses?

In either case: Trust in self is compromised.

If one cannot trust oneself, one cannot trust at all.

Game Over.

Paradigm shift required to surpass Nihilism, and Absurdism, and Hedonism.

3. Maintaining Honesty (Knowledge Seen)

What are the appropriate paradigms for modeling one’s life8 in an experience9 containing no definitive or verifiable purpose?

I mean for the approach in answering this question to be focused on realizing the highest collective fulfillment (not necessarily: highest collective “meaning”).

Please abstain from approaches that, even once, include uses of dishonesty to accomplish what you believe your mandate to be. Do not degrade another’s opportunity for self-expression by addling their minds with dishonest inanities which consume their beauty, and the beauty they may otherwise produce, with trivialities.10

The flow of life and death is not concerned with Ego

It is only concerned with Symmetry

It is concerned with Wholeness

We must supplement one another.

How can we hope to know anything if we do not stop trying to know everything11? It is not possible. No one individual part can possess knowledge meant for the collective whole.

We are concentrations of virtual fluctuations in a sea.

We are the product of deformed vacua.

4. Finding Mutual Expression (Trusting Others)

A people must journey in search of the most flexible12 patterns13 (including one’s internal logic) which yield persons14 who innately delight in entrusting faith in each other’s abilities to fulfill the unified goal of:

Producing knowledge via individualistic self-expression, which is communally supported.

A beautiful rose cannot thrive in a bed of sand.

All these beatific visions may be unified for grander knowledge and understanding through conceptualizing oneself as a unique piece of a functioning whole.

Consider The Ship of Theseus15. The ship may not technically be the same ship it was when it started, but that doesn’t matter if everyone views it to be otherwise. Even though the ship’s components have been changed to various degrees, if the sum of the ship’s components retain their function with a given tolerance, then there is reason enough to consider the ship unchanged for functional purposes.

We all carry the burden of keeping the ship afloat

By performing the function of our design,

And hoping the rest of the ship maintains its integrity.

A ship is only as good as the sum of its components. Components that should be maintained with a high degree of conscientiousness.16

Competence is informed by conscientious.

Failure is informed by inattentiveness.

I believe The Golden Rule17 requires an amendment that incorporates greater sophistication for modern sensibilities:

Take care what you do unto others, because they are an extension of self. Your actions shape your environment, and result in who you ultimately become.

5. Competence is Happiness

One needs to extend trust to themselves and trust in their unique abilities.

I have no ability to be any other person but myself.

You have no ability to be me.

If we inform each-other to form a pair as one, and the relationship extends extensively to additional individuals, then for matters of life-choice:

One should follow personal intuition as either a hyper-extension of the many.18

Or one should follow personal intuition as a necessary deviation from the many.19

In either case, the matter of: “What should I do? – or – Who should I be?”

Resolves to: “Myself.”

Every artist20 after-all may find truly unique and beautiful self-expression with enough discipline.

We can only be known if we show ourselves.

We can only exist in memories as we were if we give a proper account of our personal histories.

To lie is to hide the self.

To lie is to replace self with an unanchored simulacrum bound to be eroded away by the faintest passing of time.

6. Realization (You Are A Grounded Abstraction)

We are properties of the space we inhabit.21

Valuable ways to envision oneself exclude notions that some perceptions are unreal.

Alternatively: One should define everything they sense to be REAL,

but understand REAL is subjective.

Everything that has happened to you is happening to you.

Everything that will happen to you is happening from you.

7. Imaginary (off-Paradigm)

The more one believes something, the more one intuitively moves toward making that belief a reality.

It’s more than just a case of self-hypnosis – where a person starts to believe something they are told with high succession. The environments a person inhabits integrate into the psyche, which in turn echos the signal to new locations.

Consciousness is the means by which space propagates (replicates itself).

8. The Fittest Paradigm (Knowledge Synthesized)

Trust. Trust is the answer.22

Trust in each-other.23

Trust in self.

Trust built to drive attention.

Attention trained to cultivated love.

Love cultivated to produce beauty.

Beauty produced to enhance conscious experience.

Conscious experience enhanced to create distinct knowledge.

The known and the achievable grow with trust.

The whole world grows with trust.

According to legend, Theseus, the mythical Greek founder-king of Athens, had rescued the children of Athens from King Minos after slaying the minotaur and then escaped on a ship to Delos. Every year, the Athenians commemorated this legend by taking the ship on a pilgrimage to Delos to honor Apollo. The question was raised by ancient philosophers: After several centuries of maintenance, if every part of the ship of Theseus had been replaced, one at a time, was it still the same ship?In contemporary philosophy, this thought experiment has applications to the philosophical study of identity over time, and has inspired a variety of proposed solutions in contemporary philosophy of mind concerned with the persistence of personal identity.
